As you know, we're building a home in Cary, North Carolina. We signed the papers in November, and construction really kicked into gear in early January. Things are moving right along as we head towards our April closing date on 313 Riversville Court :).
This morning we drove by our home site before heading to the gym. Sundays are good days for us to check on the builder's progress because it's the one day of the week without construction. It's amazing seeing how quickly the other homes in our culdesac are coming together. I think most all of them at least have some siding up already, if not looking like they could be moved into any day now. The folks next door to us just had their grass put in since last week when we went by and saw that the concrete had been poured for our house.
It's definitely starting to look like a real house now. Here are some photos thus far:

Here is our lovely street sign in Twin Lakes. We're following our parents' trend of living on streets with nature-y names-- Lakewater, Wooddale, and now Riversville.

Our lot, the week after we signed our papers and they put a "SOLD" sign up in the yard. We were the only spot left to buy before the culdesac was complete. Looking forward to moving in sans construction in April!

Framing stages! You can now see the 2-car garage, nice front porch with overhang, plenty of spots for windows, and where our front door will be.

Backyard view. Note the "concrete slab" that will eventually house our outdoor table and chairs, and grill. Though it won't be fun to mow, no doubt this yard will see some good times in the years to come.
